Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to common questions
Booking, packages, setup requirements, weather policies, insurance, and equipment — all in one place. If you don’t see your question, send us a note and we’ll get back to you.
Booking & Payments
How to reserve a date, what we charge, and how rescheduling works.
How do I reserve an event date?
Bookings start with a $20 hold to lock the date on our calendar. A team member will follow up to confirm event details and collect a 50% event deposit. Final balance is due 48 hours before the event.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit cards through Stripe, including Apple Pay and Google Pay. ACH transfer and Net-30 terms are available for approved corporate accounts.
How far in advance should I book?
For peak season (May through October) and weekends, we recommend booking 4–8 weeks ahead. Weekday and off-season events can often be booked within 2 weeks. Last-minute bookings within 7 days may incur a rush fee.
Can I reschedule my event?
In most cases, yes. We accommodate reschedules whenever availability allows. The earlier you let us know, the easier it is for us to find an alternate date that works.
Can I book corporate events or weddings online?
Larger corporate activations and weddings require custom planning beyond our standard packages. Submit the contact form for an Albatross Activation proposal — we’ll respond with tailored pricing and availability.
Packages & Add-Ons
Differences between Par, Birdie, and Eagle, plus what you can add on.
What’s the difference between Par, Birdie, and Eagle?
Par is a 3-hour package, best when the simulator is one of several event activities and you want a fun highlight without committing to a full evening. Birdie is our most-booked 4-hour package — ideal for backyard parties, birthdays, graduations, and gatherings with steady guest flow. Eagle is a 6-hour package built for longer or busier events where guests come and go throughout the day, like neighborhood block parties or school functions.
Do you offer custom branding or contests?
Yes. Add-ons include a contest and leaderboard package, branded on-screen graphics and sponsor overlays, and custom-printed golf balls. Our Albatross tier includes all of these plus lead capture and post-event reporting.
Do you provide golf clubs?
Yes — full sets are included with every booking. Junior sets are available on request; please specify when booking.
Setup, Space & Requirements
Where we can set up, how much space we need, and power requirements.
How much space do I need for setup?
Most driveways, garages, backyards, and indoor venues work. The minimum recommended play area is 12–15 ft wide, 15–25 ft deep, and 10–11 ft tall. If you’re unsure whether your space qualifies, share photos when you book and we’ll confirm.
Where can the simulator be installed?
Driveways, backyards, parks, garages, gymnasiums, banquet halls, event centers, and most outdoor areas. We’ve set up in everything from suburban cul-de-sacs to corporate ballrooms to ranch pavilions.
Do you need power?
Yes — a single standard 110V household outlet within roughly 50 feet of the setup location. If a power source isn’t available, you can add the battery generator add-on at booking.
Is Wi-Fi required?
No. The simulator runs fully offline. We don’t need to connect to your venue’s network for any part of the experience.
Day-of Event Logistics
When we arrive, who runs the simulator, and what to expect during the event.
How early do you arrive?
Usually 45–60 minutes before the event starts. Larger activations or trade shows may require 1–2 hours of setup time. We’ll confirm an arrival window when we lock in your date.
Do you stay for the event?
Yes — every booking includes a dedicated on-site attendant who runs the simulator, coaches guests, manages contests, and breaks down at the end. You don’t need any technical experience to host.
How loud is the simulator?
Quiet — about the level of normal conversation. The impact screen absorbs most of the ball strike noise, and the projector and computer are nearly silent. The simulator works comfortably indoors next to dinner tables or live music.
Do guests need to know how to play golf?
No. Most events include beginners and total newcomers. We provide easy instructions, beginner-friendly game modes, and the on-site attendant coaches as needed throughout the event.
Safety, Weather & Insurance
How we handle weather, who’s covered by our insurance, and whether kids can play.
What happens if it rains or snows?
Our enclosure allows safe operation in most weather. We only reschedule for lightning, extreme winds, or severe storms — and when that happens, we work with you to find an alternate date.
Are you insured?
Yes — fully insured for both general liability and equipment. We can provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) on request, typically within 24 hours, and can name your venue or organization as additionally insured at no charge.
Is it safe for kids?
Yes — children regularly participate. We recommend parental supervision for younger kids, and the on-site attendant helps them get comfortable with the equipment. Junior club sets are available on request.
Equipment & Technology
What we bring and what game modes are available.
What launch monitor do you use?
A tour-grade Foresight launch monitor, paired with a bright HD projector and a tour-grade impact screen — the same caliber of monitor used by professional instructors and elite club fitters. Guests get accurate ball flight data, real course play, and high-resolution graphics.
What types of games or modes are available?
Closest-to-the-pin contests, long drive competitions, full course play (hundreds of real courses available), target practice, and kid-friendly mini games. The on-site attendant can run tournament brackets, leaderboards, and team-based formats on request.
Service Areas
Where do you operate?
Denver and the Colorado Front Range, Honolulu (O‘ahu), and Austin and Central Texas. Travel outside our core service areas is available for certain event types — submit the contact form with your location and event details and we’ll let you know.
